Yes, the GISBH parody songs are still dominating many Malaysians’ FYPs (For You Page) on TikTok.
Even the minister of communication, Fahmi Fadzil revealed that he has heard at least 7 to 8 versions of the parody songs, which shows the creativity of some Malaysians. While it may be fun to hum and sing the songs, Kelantan Deputy Mufti doesn’t think it’s a good idea.
“It’ll distort your faith”
Kelantan Deputy Mufti, Datuk Nik Abdul Kadir Nik Mohamad advised Malaysians not to go along with the trend too much, especially when it comes to GISBH parody songs which are directly linked to the now-deviant organisation.
To our Muslim friends, you might want to consider this.
Datuk Nik said the act of singing the parody songs is against the Islamic teachings and faith.
“The lyrics are like Zikir (words of remembrance to God). The song has existed since the formation of Al-Arqam (previous branding of GISBH). I suggest to stop singing the songs because it will distort your faith.”
In case you missed it, everything started when PDRM raided welfare houses under GISBH where children and teenagers were sodomised. The raids led to more findings and the company’s top leaders have mostly been detained by the police.
So, to our Muslim friends, including those who are active on TikTok and are familiar with these parody songs, this is perhaps the cue for you to stop singing the songs.
