A picture of former US President and Republican Party presidential candidate, Donald Trump wearing a life jacket and wading through knee-deep water to help flood victims has gone viral on the internet.
The picture was posted on September 30 by a Facebook user after Hurricane Helena hit the Big Bend region of Florida causing widespread destruction and loss of lives and property on September 26 and September 27.

The user posted the picture with the caption,
“I Don’t Think FB wants this picture on FB .They have been deleting it”
The post has since become viral and has been shared 150,000 times within 16 hours and many netizens claimed that the former US President was a part of the rescue operation.
However, the truth is that it is a fake picture and was ai-generated.
The former US President had visited Valdosta on September 30 but he was never a part of the rescue operations.
Also, there is no proof of the Facebook user who had posted the picture that Meta had deleted the picture multiple times.
However, as per a USA Today report, Donald Trump has started a GoFundMe page to help the victims of Hurricane Helene and till October 1, the campaign has collected $2 million.
The image has been created using Generative AI which is a technology which can produce new content which includes images, videos, audio and text based on a prompt.
The cue which proves that the image is AI-generated includes misshapen or distorted features of the person.
The background contents like Numbers, letters, and textures are often distorted or over-stylized in AI content.
However, the crux of the matter is that the image of Donald Trump walking through floodwaters after Hurricane Helene is AI generated and there are a number of visual cues which strengthen this claim.
In this image also the right hand of the former US President looks distorted and resembles a claw. Also, the text on the yellow hat of the person in the picture looks distorted and letters on the nametags aren’t distinguishable.
Also the clothes which are worn by Trump and others don’t appear wet.
The clothes which were worn by Trump during his visit to Georgia also look different.
Hurricane Helene has devastated the six Southeastern states since it made landfall on Sept. 26 and has left a trail of destruction from Florida’s Gulf Coast into parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains in southwestern Virginia.
